The after school program is currently seeking highly motivated educators, artists, activists to be a part of our dynamic and progressive team.

It is ideal that applicants have a strong understanding of K-12 instructional practices and be committed to bringing engaging and meaningful lessons in the classroom to empower students.

Teach

The after school Tutors work closely with a class of 20-25 students daily to provide academic support and to help foster strong social-emotional skills. Our Tutors do this through the practice of data-driven instruction that incorporates Common Core curriculum standards on Reading and Writing as well as by incorporating Community & Social Engagement topics that pertain to real-word issues that are relevant and current. In addition, as part of our continuous effort to foster strong leaders and productive citizens, the after school Tutors integrate intentional and comprehensive character building lessons. The after school program staff do this in an effort to empower students to be part of the “solution” for a better world.

The after school program staff go through a series of rigorous, research based trainings that equip them with classroom management best practices and strategies that support the learning process.

It is ideal that candidates hold a Bachelor's Degree and are on the teacher-credentialing track.
