FUTURE & CURRENT STUDENTS

Norwalk High welcomes all future and current students. We have created this section to provide you with the information and tools necessary to anticipate opportunities, deadlines, and requirements. One of our goals is to provide each student with an individualized academic plan and strategies to succeed. If you have any further questions, please get in touch with one of our academic counselors.

Availability

Counselors are available for STUDENTS on a drop-in basis before school, at break, at lunch and after school. If a student would like to make an appointment with a counselor during class time they may do so through the counseling secretary.

PARENTS may make an appointment to see their student's counselor by contacting the counseling secretary at (562) 868-0431 X4114. We would prefer that your student attend the appointment with you, however, we realize there may be times when you want to meet with us privately.

CHANGING SCHEDULES

Students may change their schedule by going through the following process:

Step 1:  Pick up a Change of Schedule form (BLUE CARD) in the counseling office.

Step 2:  Fill and submit the blue card to request to meet with a counselor.
Contact the counseling office and make an appointment.

Step 3: A meeting  is held with teacher, parent and counselor.

Step 4: An administrator determines authorization for all changes.
