La Mirada High School has joined the "Green Revolution!" On June 19, 2009, we were awarded an "historical" first: Green Academy funding from the California Department of Education to establish a Career Technical Educational "school within a school" as part of the California Partnerships Academy program. This program prepares underserved, under-represented students for college programs majoring in environmental technology and the green labor force. For the 2010-2012 academic year, our academy is also being supported by a mini-grant from California Teachers Association, Institute for Teaching.
We are proud of our teaching staff for 2011 - 2012:
Mr.
Ken Yoshioka - 9th, 10th, 11th grade, Green Construction/Alternative Energy Woodshop
Mr.
