Each 1st and 2nd grade teacher will choose 3 students to participate.
A limited number of first and second grade students will be using computer programs one day per week to enhance their learning and academic skills. The club will be either in Room 44 or the Computer Lab (Room 54) from 2:20 until 3:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Students work on different programs in their sessions, based on their teachers' recommendations. They will also have some practice in keyboarding and word-processing. Teachers in 1st and 2nd Grade will choose students in the next 2 weeks to participate after school, based on class behavior, student needs, and work habits. There will be 2 sets of students, each participating for about half of the school year. The 2nd group of students will be chosen sometime in January or early February.
Students and parents also should have signed and returned the NLMUSD Acceptable Use Policy for computer use and internet access. It was sent home in the first day packet. We must have one on file for your child to have permission to access the internet on any school computer.
If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me through the link on the Glazier web page.
I will post a schedule the week of September 27th, plus the office and teachers will have copies in classrooms for student reminders.
