Talk to your counselors about signing up for summer classes if you either did not pass the first semester or feel that there is a chance that you will not pass the current semester of the courses listed . Summer school is a good opportunity for students to recover credit in unsuccessful courses. Availability of summer courses is entirely based on student enrollment. ASB 2015-2016 candidates list is posted on door (555) and on the Activities Office door. If you applied please check the list, it will be up for 3 days. All members must sign up for an interview time. All executive candidates may start campaigning Friday May 29. Please check in with Mrs. Gasporra before friday in room 555 to make sure your flyers and posters are approved before posting.
Our school received a Bronze Medal from US News and World Report for being one of the best high schools in the nation. Nearly 20,000 schools were eligible for this recognition; only the top third were recognized. The award is based upon the academic achievement of all students as well as a college readiness index. The EAP program helps determine whether or not students are ready for college level content in English and Math. Students who participate in the EAP have the opportunity to place directly into college-level courses at the California State University and at many California Community Colleges. This year's EAP is built into the new state tests called SBAC. Juniors will begin taking these tests beginning May 18.
