Character education begins at home. Parents need to help build character; it doesn’t just happen. Encouraging young people to think independently and to do right are the foundations of character education for parents.
CHARACTER OF THE MONTH: In November, our school will focus on CITIZENSHIIP. CITIZENSHIP means that our students play by the rules; obey the laws, do their share in their family, class, school, and community; and they must be willing to share with others. Talk to your child about being a good CITIZEN!
The core universal values we use are Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship. Over the summer, please encourage your child to demonstrate these character traits and follow the T.E.A.M. approach: teach, enforce, advocate, and model the Six Pillars.
Teaching, enforcing, advocating, and modeling the Six Pillars of Character daily will set behavior boundaries that will shape the character of your child - and yourself!
