Welcome to the Los Alisos MIT Web site showcase. The following classrooms are proudly serving as “models” for others in our district as the program expands.

The teachers were trained on how to implement project-based learning and integrate technology in education, in order to prepare our students for the 21st century.

Among the software that the teachers were trained in were: Google Docs, iPhoto, iMovie, iTunes, Garage Band, Keynote, Pages, Numbers, iWeb, and others. They also received training in how to use their new Smart Boards, Responders, iPods, Flip Cameras, and more. 

In order to share their work, the teachers committed to creating class Web sites on which to post the projects the students are completing--one project per trimester, as well as lots of pictures and movies of their work. The teachers have also been blogging on these Web sites to share their journeys on the educational technology super highway.
