Becky Langenwalter is the mother of five adult children who attended NLMUSD schools and the grandmother of two current students. Ms. Langenwalter is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a business owner. She served on the financial aid counseling staff of Biola University for 23 years and was elected to NLMUSD School Board – Trustee Area 7 in 2024. Her husband, Mr. Paul Langenwalter, is an alumnus of NLMUSD and a retired professor of Archaeology & Anthropology in the School of Intercultural Studies at Biola University.
In 1978, Ms. Langenwalter graduated from University of California, Riverside with a degree in Anthropology and a Certificate in Teaching Reading (BS), publishing several articles on archaeological sites in Riverside County. In 2010, she attended Vanguard University of Southern California, earning a master’s degree in clinical psychology, focusing on the mental health needs of children and families.
Ms. Langenwalter grew up in rural Huntington Beach as the daughter of two teachers. As a shy youngster, Becky’s life was transformed as she steadily gained confidence through her success in school. In recent decades, Ms. Langenwalter has devoted her energy to helping others as a classroom volunteer, mentoring college students, streamlining the financial aid process for families, leading a women’s group and providing one-on-one counseling to students. In her spare time, Ms. Langenwalter enjoys camping in the national parks and spending time with her grandkids.
Bringing a wealth of education and experience, Ms. Langenwalter considers it a privilege to support parents and serve students in her community.
