Narcis Brasov is a father of a child in our district, a former teacher, and now an attorney and law professor. Prior to serving on the School Board, Mr. Brasov taught Spanish at Norwalk High School for 15 years. There, Mr. Brasov re-started the Spanish for Native Speaker’s program, to give students an education that honors their prior knowledge. Mr. Brasov also mentored several student teachers, and his wife, Mrs. Erika Brasov, taught science at Norwalk High School for a total of 16 years. 

Mr. Brasov immigrated to the United States as a child. As part of a large, impoverished family, he learned English in school and had to adapt to a new culture. In 1999, Mr. Brasov graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and one in Philosophy. Later, he earned a Master’s degree in Philosophy from Biola University and a teaching credential from Azusa Pacific University.

In 2017, Mr. Brasov earned a Juris Doctor’s degree from Trinity Law School in Santa Ana, where he has taught since 2018. Mr. Brasov is also an attorney and business owner.

In 2019-2020, Mr. Brasov served on La Mirada’s Public Safety Commission, helping oversee efforts to keep the city safe, while coordinating with the state, county, and our school district.

Mr. Brasov has served on the Norwalk-La Mirada School Board since 2021 and considers it a privilege to serve his community.
