The Norwalk-La Mirada USD Migrant Education Speech & Debate Team competed in the 11th Annual Migrant Education Program State Speech & Debate Tournament in Monterey, CA, last weekend, coming away with a state title to go along with a trio of top-three finishes.

The Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS WASC) have determined that three Norwalk-La Mirada schools have met the ACS WASC criteria for accreditation.

The 605 All-Star Band did it! The 500+ member band marched in the 136th Rose Parade on New Year's Day, believed to be one of the largest bands ever to participate in the Tournament of Roses.

The Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District is excited to announce that 15 elementary school sites are expected to go under construction this summer/fall to receive new playgrounds as part of the Measure G Bond Program.

The Norwalk-La Mirada State of the District, previously scheduled for May 14th, has been postponed. We are working to reschedule the event and will communicate the new date once that has been finalized.

Southeast Academy High School proudly competed in the Golden Bear West Coast National Drill Team Competition, the largest drill event on the West Coast with over 50 schools participating.
