The 605 All-Star Band did it! The 500+ member band marched in the 136th Rose Parade on New Year's Day, believed to be one of the largest bands ever to participate in the Tournament of Roses.
The 2025 Edition of the U.S. News & World Report Best Elementary and Best Middle School rankings were released and eight total Norwalk-La Mirada schools earned mention.

The Norwalk-La Mirada Board of Education has appointed Dr. Natasha Baker in the role of Superintendent of Schools, formally approving her contract during its recent meeting on December 9. Dr. Baker will officially begin the role on January 1, 2025.
In front of an enthusiastic crowd of students, alumni, and dignitaries, Norwalk High School held the grand opening of its new gymnasium, the culmination of an 18-month project.
The 605 All-Star Band held a practice parade last weekend, a four-mile route that took it through the streets of Bellflower and ended in Mayfair Park in Lakewood.
