Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District is proud to announce that Benton Middle School, Hutchinson Middle School, and Norwalk High School have been selected by the California Department of Education as 2026 California Distinguished Schools.

On June 8, 2026, the Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District Board of Education adopted Board Policy 5131.8, establishing consistent expectations for student use of mobile communication devices across all District schools.

As we close the 2025-2026 school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on all that we have accomplished together and express my heartfelt gratitude to our students, families, staff, and community partners for making this year one of growth, resilience, and opportunity.
