At the Board of Education Meeting held this evening, the Board approved a resolution to adopt the criteria for trustee area maps. The approved resolution can be viewed below.
Previously, at a Special Board Meeting on September 22, 2022, the Board received a presentation by the National Demographics Corporation regarding the criteria for trustee area maps. The National Demographics Corporation will prepare up to four draft maps for discussion during the Board of Education Meeting on October 10, 2022. The Board will consider adopting one map at the scheduled Board of Education on October 24, 2022.
As a reminder, community members may also submit user-generated maps using the tool provided on the District website at the link below. All maps must be submitted to [email protected] by October 14, 2022 and include the name and address of the user.
Maps will be processed in the order they are received and will be posted on the redistricting homepage for public viewing. Processed maps will be posted a week prior to each meeting on October 3, 2022, and October 17, 2022. It is strongly recommended that users provide comments with the submitted maps describing how the map was drawn to meet the required criteria.
