Open Enrollment Opens: December 1, 2019

 

You will need your child's student identification number (Student ID #) to complete the open enrollment form. This can be found on a report card. If you are unable to locate your student ID number, please contact your school site.

The Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District’s Open Enrollment policy has changed. Please note the following changes:

 

Open Enrollment period: December 1, 2019January 31, 2020

 

  • In order to transfer to a different school within the District (intra-district) or out of the District (inter-district), families must complete and submit an application within the time frame indicated (December 1, 2019 – January 31, 2020)
  • Families will be notified of the status of their application by February 28th
  • Permit approvals will be based on enrollment projections and site availability
 

These changes apply only to students who are applying for new permits.  Students who currently have approved permits, will not be affected by these changes. Please also note that this change in policy eliminates year-round Open Enrollment. The only opportunity for your student to transfer will be during the Open Enrollment period.

 

The Open Enrollment application and the inter-district permits will be available online or at the Student and Family Services Office.
