New Student Registration For 2022-2023


The following provides protocols for student enrollment for the 2022-23 school year:

  • Parent/Guardian will complete registration online using the link below.
  • If you are enrolling your child in TK, you must choose Kindergarten as the enrolling grade on the registration application. A drop-down selection will then appear allowing you to choose TK for your child.
  • Parent/Guardian will submit the following necessary documents by mail, email, drop-off, or fax to complete the enrollment: birth certificate, proof of residence, immunization records and transcripts.
  •  Documents will be processed at the school site.
  •  Site will contact parent/guardian upon completion of the enrollment process and provide next steps for students, including their right for Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE).

Please use the below links for new students  to the Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District. The enrollment process  begins by registering online. Parents can register online for their child’s zoned school of residence or an approved intra/interdistrict district permit location.



  • All new and returning students require a PowerSchool Registration account. Don’t have one? Click here to create an account. 
  • All new NLMUSD students may register for a Powerschool Registration account for their school of residence. Find your assigned school here.
  • New students and returning NLMUSD students who change home address must provide approved proof of residence. Additional information is required for shared residency. Click here for forms and information.
  • Students must be up to date on required immunizations, dental screening, and physicals or have an approved exemption on file to attend school. See requirements here
