Norwalk La Mirada Unified School District in partnership with Norwalk Education Alliance presented Career Exploration Night on April 27, 2017 at Norwalk City Hall.  Local businesses and organizations participated in an evening of exploration and sharing of industry specific information with the students and residents of Norwalk. This is just one more way NLMUSD is striving to prepare our students for the future and beyond!!!
Today’s cutting-edge, rigorous and relevant career and technical education (CTE) prepares youth and adults for a wide range of high-wage, high-skill, high-demand careers.

Prepares Students For College and Career
Career Technical Education (CTE) is an educational strategy and the cornerstone of the state's workforce development efforts.  We believe we need to invest in the future, foster creativity, and create a culture of innovation!
At Norwalk-La Mirada USD, we offer a variety of career pathways integrating strong academic and technical courses. Our career pathways represent several industry sectors: Arts, Media & Entertainment; Building Trades & Construction; Business & Finance; Education, Child Development, & Family Services; Engineering & Design; Fashion Design; Health Science & Medical Technology; Marketing, Sales, & Service; Public Service; and Transportation. In addition, some schools offer Project Lead the Way (PLTW) - Engineering and Biomedical Science Pathways.
For a complete list of schools and pathways, please click on the NLMUSD Linked Learning logo above and you will be connected to the NLMUSD Pathways website.
The Norwalk Education Alliance partnered with NLMUSD to develop the Mock Interview event for high school students to practice articulating their strengths and presenting themselves in front of employers for jobs and internships, as well as university representatives for college entry. This is the second year this event has taken place.
