Site Lead Biography:

Sandra Sandoval was born and raised in the city of Norwalk; she is the daughter of two Mexican immigrant parents and a product of the NLMUSD. She began her school career at Ramona Preschool and graduated with highest honors from John Glenn High School. She was the first in her family to attend a university when she was accepted into UCLA and the first to graduate and earn her Bachelor’s degree in 2010. Upon graduation, she dedicated herself to working with students and families from her community. She has worked with after-school programming in NLMUSD at the elementary and middle school level for the last 4 years. She is a strong believer that all students have the potential to succeed in school when they have educators that support and believe in them. She looks forward to the coming school year and the opportunity to empower her students and families to become the advocates and revolutionaries that will bring about change and help eliminate the achievement gap.
