Welcome to the Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District School-Age Child Care (SACC) Program
The SACC Program is open to care for school-aged children from TK to 5th grade in a safe, enjoyable, and supportive environment. The SACC Program will offer your child an array of enrichment activities that will not only promote cognitive development, but also engage your child socially and emotionally.
Enrollment Eligibility:
Your child must be enrolled at the school where childcare is requested. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis with limited enrollment at each site. When the SACC Program is enrolled to capacity; a waiting list will be maintained. Parents will be contacted as openings occur.
Registration:
Beginning Fall 2022, the SACC program will return to operation at Dulles, Escalona, Gardenhill, and La Pluma Elementary sites. More information on the opening of Eastwood will be coming soon. Registration occurs on an annual basis. Returning students and siblings of returning students receive priority registration. Priority registration is from March 14, 2022 to April 14, 2022. SACC Open Registration for all new students begins on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 9:00 am. Open registration will occur online through the “Registration SACC Program” link or click here. Please do not send or submit any fees or payments at this time. You will be notified when those items are due.
*** Eastwood Elementary: tentative reopening ***
We are continuing with our efforts to hire the appropriate number of staff members that will allow us to open this site. Eastwood students will register during open registration on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 9:00 am. Registrations will be accepted on a first come - first serve basis as space permits. We will provide further information on the opening of Eastwood as it becomes available.
Homework Assistance:
On a daily basis, your student will be provided an uninterrupted time and place to work on homework, as needed. During this time, staff will monitor and check for understanding with students and assist with questions regarding assignments.
Indoor/Outdoor Recreation:
Board games, cards, puzzles, blocks, and manipulatives will be available for both small and large group interaction. Free play as well as organized games will be made available for your children.

2:15 - 4:30 p.m.
TK-K: $215 / Grades 1-5: $195
2:15 - 6:00 p.m.
TK-K: $275 / Grades 1-5: $255
AM and PM
Option 1:
7:00 - 8:15 a.m. / 2:15 - 4:30 p.m.
TK-K: $320 / Grades 1-5: $300
Option 2:
7:00 - 8:15 a.m. / 2:15 - 6:00 p.m.
TK-K: $375 / Grades 1-5: $355
Do not submit any form of payment with your Open Enrollment form. You will be contacted if a space is available for your child. Once notified of space availability, a non-refundable registration fee of $55/child or $80/family is required. Fees can be paid by utilizing our WEBSTORE or by turning in a Cashier’s Check/Money Order to the SACC site.
