McKinney-Vento Program
The Norwalk-La Mirada McKinney-Vento program is designed to address the problems that families and youth in transition face in enrolling, attending and succeeding in school.
Our Mission is to guarantee and implement the McKinney-Vento Act as mandate and all of its provisions for students in transition attending the Norwalk-La Mirada School District.
Our Goals are to help students in transition overcome barriers of immediate enrollment, transportation to school of origin, and school stability. To offer significant academic and social learning opportunities at after school programs in a safe and healthy environment. To ensure student success by providing the necessary tools to graduate and pursue higher education.
For more information, contact our staff below or visit our Resource Center located at the Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District Office at 12820 Pioneer Blvd., Norwalk, CA 90650. The Resource Center is open Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:00 pm.
