Join the Team

The Expanded Learning Program is currently seeking highly motivated educators to be a part of our dynamic and progressive team.

It is ideal that applicants have a strong understanding of K-12 instructional practices and be committed to bringing engaging and meaningful lessons into the classroom to empower students.

TEACH

The Expanded Learning  Tutors work closely with a class of 20-25 students daily to provide academic support and to help foster strong social-emotional skills. Our Tutors do this through the practice of data-driven instruction that incorporates Common Core curriculum standards on Reading and Writing as well as by incorporating Community & Social Engagement topics that pertain to real-world issues that are relevant and current. In addition, as part of our continuous effort to foster strong leaders and productive citizens, the ELP Tutors integrate intentional and comprehensive character-building lessons. The Expanded Learning  Program staff do this in an effort to empower students to be part of the “solution” for a better world.

The Expanded Learning Program staff go through a series of rigorous, research-based training that equips them with classroom management best practices and strategies that support the learning process.

VOLUNTEER

The after school program is seeking highly motivated volunteers of all ages and experience levels to support the after school programs.  Volunteer service includes, but is not limited to:

  • Homework support
