Student Support Services & Special Education

The Student Support Services Division of the Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District is dedicated to fostering the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral success of all students. Through a collaborative, student-centered approach, the division provides comprehensive support systems that remove barriers to learning and promote equity and inclusion across the district.

Student Support Services encompasses three essential departments—Special Education, Student & Family Services, and Mental Health & Wellness. Together, these departments work to ensure that every student receives the individualized care, resources, and interventions they need to thrive in school and in life. Whether addressing family and community needs, or prioritizing mental and emotional well-being, the division plays a critical role in building a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment for all NLMUSD students.
